Biography
Suraj Musa aka Vj Emmy was born 39 years ago as of 2022 and he is one of the top video jockeys (Vjs) in Uganda. He was born in Kampala city outskirts of Luggala and was raised from Kiboga district.
His parents made him grow up from Kiboga and later on he joined them again in Luggala. Vj Emmy has siblings and he is the only Vj in his family. His tribe is a Muganda and a Muslim by religion.
Education
Vj Emmy aka Suraj Musa attended school up to Ordinary level (O level) where he picked his movie translation passion and branched off.
Movies Translation Career
Vj Emmy says that, in the early days, he used to go to Kiboga trading centre to clean the cinema hall so that he would be given free two movies to watch. So that is where he found out that Vjs were doing it live using VHS tapes, that is when he picked up the passion after listening to Nabbi Marcos and Vj Mark one of those prominent Vjs those days.
He started to follow Vj Moses who was in Nateete and he was doing frequent visits to Nateete. Vj Emmy finally landed on his dream when he did his first movie translation in Kibuye. And since then, he has done it as a job, until he transformed to a movie producer, then director and actor.
He says, he was inspired by Vj Jingo and he adds that, that is the reason he copied his movie translation voice and style. Vj Emmy is currently a household name in the movie translation industry, he is among the top dogs who include; Vj Jingo, Junior, Mark, Ice P and more.
