Early life:
Rose is born to Baligonzaki Yedidah and Major Bingi Simpson. She was raised in the central Uganda district of Entebbe alongside her four other siblings, two brothers, Musinguzi Bob and Bingi Ethan and two sisters Aguma Tina and Katusabe Maria.
Education background:
She started her academic journey at Entebbe Kindergarten School back in 2002 from which she graduated to join Lake Victoria School to study the primary level in between 2003 till 2009 when she finally sat her Primary Leaving Examinations.
Subsequently, she joined secondary school studying and completing her ordinary level from Trinity College Nabbingo in between 2010 to 2013 from which she transferred to St. Mary’s Senior Secondary School for advanced level education from 2014 to 2015.
During her advanced level studies, Rose did Mathematics, Economics, Geography and IT which she excelled at and joined the country’s biggest and oldest institution of higher learning, Makerere University.
At Makerere University’s College of Computing and Information Sciences, she pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Records and Archives Management.
CAREER
Basketball:
During her high school years, Rose discovered her exceptional basketball talent in 2012 which saw her winning a number of medals and scholarships. Throughout her high school up till university, her studied on scholarship thanks to her talent.
During the Watoto games, she was pronounced MVP. At national level, she played the basketball league under the MUK Sparks before transferring to the Lioness and then back to the MUK Sparks.
Unfortunately, she suffered a severe back injury in 2019 that she is still nursing up-to-date and her basketball career was crippled. Along her seven years basketball journey, she had attained 11 medals including 3 silver, 2 gold, 3 bronze and 2 MVP accolades.
Modelling and Acting:
Aside from basketball, Rose was already pursuing a career in modelling as of 2017. Her major aim of joining the modeling industry was for commercial and fitness purposes and she worked with Nigerian Designer Stephanie Akut, Mum’s Peanut butter commercial, salloona swimwear, Nitah Crochets, EA models, Bliss Models, Tondo Clothing, Savanna Boulevard, Am athletic gear etc
Even if her modeling career came to a standstill in 2020, she had participated in both the Miss Tourism Bunyoro Uganda 2017/2018 and Miss Entebbe 2018/2019.
As for her acting career, she featured in a number of films including Fidelity in 2019, Judas Kiss in 2019, and Nobody said it was Easy in 2018. For her role in the movie Judas Kiss, she won the Silver Anhuma award for best supporting actress during the Tiete international Film awards, 2021.

Here are some fun facts about Rose Basemera. Her hobbies range from Traveling, watching series, working out, having fun, going out with friends, sports to dancing.
