Ever since the COVID-19 Pandemic hit the globe, economies were disestablished, businesses shut down and millions of people have lost their job in the seven months of the pandemic with over 10 million cases worldwide. Due to this, Uganda government imposed a lockdown of the airport as a precautionary measure to stop the escalation of the virus n Ugandans.
In this, many Ugandans who lost their jobs abroad became stranded and wanted to go back home something that could not happen in the time that it was wanted in. But now, the good news is that stranded Ugandans living in the middle East’s smallest and one of the richest country, Qatar have seen a sigh of hope after the first list of those confirmed to go back home is out and the flight is now confirmed to be of 18th July 2020.
In this list, there are people who are willing to meet the conditions put up by the Uganda government through its embassy in Qatar and these conditions include provision of a Coronavirus testing certificate and one must be negative, payment for your own air ticket to the airline company the embassy will suggest although our sources revealed it is Qatar Airways and booking a hotel that one will be quarantined in when he/she gets to Uganda of which the cheap ones are 150,000 Uganda shillings.
