Dr. Kizza Besigye Sends Emotional Letter from Luzira

Weeks after his detention, Dr. Kizza Besigye has faced court only once and he was asked to pay a whooping 30m Uganda shillings, and he failed. He was then sent to Luzira Upper maximum prison where he has been sleeping up to now. He has now sent a Martyr’s Day celebrations letter that left everyone tearing.
The genesis of dr. Kizza Besigye’s woes was when he stormed streets a few weeks ago, by resurrecting his Walk to Work movement which he has initiated in the old days. The reason for all this was because of the hiking prices of essential commodities, and he believed Ugandans can not manage the situation, thus striking in order the government to do changes.
As Dr. Kizza Besugye is still counting days of sleeping in Luzira Upper prison coolers, her has jotted a letter to Ugandans and reminded them that he is doing ‘well’ and that he is not shaken by what is happening to him now. Being in prison for Ugandans, because as we all know, Besigye can not fail to afford fuel prices nor soap.
“To all my friends and activists, this is to let you know that i am well by the grace of God, I convey salutations to all of you. I wish you a happy Martyr’s day, we shall overcome remain strong” Dr. kizza Besigye wrote.
