National Unity Platform (NUP) president and singer Bobi Wine real name Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu has opened up about his friendship with Buchaman.
Buchaman and Bobi Wine were best friends for so many years. Having both grown up from the ghetto, they bonded and spent time together. As musicians, they went to studios together to sing about different things, they ate and drunk together as friends.
Things took the worst turn in 2018 when Bobi Wine joined politics. He changed so much, cut off his hair and also started dressing like a gentleman. Even his time or hanging out in the ghetto reduced because he was a member of Parliament and had a lot to do than sit down in the ghetto.
The friendship between Buchaman and Bobi Wine slowly started to face away. When Bobi Wine formed his political party, Buchaman didn’t support him, he supported the opposite party NRM.
President Museveni also appointed him as a presidential advisor something he has taken so highly than his friendship with Kyagulanyi. In a recent interview, the former presidential candidate was asked about his friendship with Buchaman. He was asked if he misses him and what he would say to him if the met.
He revealed that Buchaman was a good person but he doesn’t know what happened to him. He said he doesn’t know about the friendship but all is well.
“Me and Buchaman are not friends I rarely see him or even hear from him. What I know is that Buchaman was a good person I can’t lie I don’t know what happened to him. I hope one day he will wake up and be as good as he was by supporting people not a dictator” Bobi Wine said.
