Sad news coming to our desk indicate that, president Museveni convoy has allegedly hit and killed three people and left one badly injured. This sad event happened at the Northern Bypass a few hours ago when president Museveni was heading to State House.
According to eye witnesses and sound in the video, these people were hit and killed by the vehicle that carries President Museveni’s toilet in his convoy. This has also caused a social media uproar and people have been seen condemning President Museveni convoy for being ruthless and rough while on the road.
This is the first accident we have so far heard to happen from the president’s convoy, although some cases were reported in the last years. And people are wondering and asking themselves, why people would actually die in the hands of their own president. But still, have we tried to analyze how these accidents may occur? This can give us means of avoiding them.
Whenever the president is traveling and is using a certain route, traffic police and the army make sure the roads are cleared and safe. But how these accidents occur, also is still a mystery. Recently, Uganda’s traffic police released a statement on causes of these road accidents and said that more than 200 people die annually from accidents.
