Mirembe Rachel popularly known as Recho Rey has been put on allegations for terminating her
pregnancy last year which she has vehemently denied.
The Hiphop music artiste during an interview denied the termination and blamed it on the alleged
rumors that were circulating around.
“I didn’t abort. I was just going through tough challenges in life that I can’t say, but it was never
easy. And I found myself plunged into depression,” Recho Rey said.
Some of her challenges erupted from her management which stopped managing her career and
Covid-19 lockdown. This was due to her financial ability being low and unstable which led to her
bad mental health.
Early last year Recho Rey, real name Racheal Mirembe, rebranded from her tom-boyish looks
and settled for a more feminine appearance.
Born in Kireka in 1998. She had a passion for music from a tender age and eventually decided
to do it professionally in 2017. She hasn’t looked back since. Her undeniable talent hooked her
a spot as one of the winners of the MTN Cypher Uganda Hip Hop Awards.
