It was a tough day at Mbarara University of Science and Technology as the five candidates tussled it out to get the MUST top seat, the guild presidency. And among the five, Bill Clinton Nasasira of National Unity Platform (NUP) won the guild presidency, and he is the new Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) Guild president 2022.
In the race, there was; Bill Clinton Nasasira () doing Bachelor of Pharmacy in 3rd year campaigning under Awakening the Kraken slogan. Also, Moreen Katushabe (JEEMA) doing Bachelor of Information Technology in 2nd year. She was endorsed by FDC party and she campaigned under the slogan of Not Me But Us.
More so, in the same race there was Kenneth Nuwahoora (IND) pursuing Bachelor of Civil Engineering in 3rd year campaigning under Audicity of Hope slogan. Nuwabine Martin was also in the race under NRM party pursing Accounting and Finance in 2nd year. The last one was Erima Adrabo Augustine who was Independent as well. He was campaigning under Vision, Ideology, and Strategy slogan.
Bill Clinton Nasasira won by a slight difference from JEEMA’s Moreen Katushabe and he got 970 votes, Moreen Katushabe got 785, Erima Adrabo Augustine Independent got 292 votes. Then Nuwabine Martin of NRM got 495 votes, losing to NUP. Lastly is Kenneth Nuwahoora (IND) who got 444 votes.

This gave Bill Clinton Nasasira a victory with 32.48% and he is the new Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) Guild president. Congraculation NUP upon your victory. Now go work for the students that have entrusted you with their votes. We hear the current Guild president in for NUP but he did nothing. All the best.
