Fifa has unveiled the soundtrack for Fifa 2023 console game and two Nigerians songs made the list. News says that Pheelz’s “Finesse” featuring BNXN FKA Buju and Bad Boy Timz’s “Skelele” featuring Olamide have been included in the soundtrack for Fifa 23 console game.
The Afrobeats stars will join along list of other artistes spread across the world to make up the soundtrack of one of highest selling video games. This makes the songs break a record in Africa to appear in Fifa Soundtrack 2023
Their inclusion sees them join Fireboy and Nneka as Nigerians whose songs have featured on FIFA soundtrack. Fireboy’s “Party Scatter” was part of the soundtrack for FIFA 2021 while Nneka’s ‘Kangpe’ feat Wesley Williams made the FIFA 2010 soundtrack.
And this puts a question mark to other African countries as to why as far as music is concerned, it’s only Nigeria sounding and prioritized of all African countries. Their music is put on top internationally and this is seen through different collaborations made by the Nigerian artistes featuring the White artistes.
