Uganda Police have impounded one of the vehicles belonging to city socialite Charles Olim alias
Sipapa following the directive from the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Martins Okoth Ochola
to have them impounded for continuous flouting traffic laws.
Mr. Ochola told the media that Sipapa car has been a menace on the road and many road
users have been making reports and complaints for driving a numberless Toyota V8 vehicle for
two months, in one way, knocking and threatening to shoot his victims.
“The matter was brought to the attention of the Inspector General of Police. It has been well
acknowledged and given instructions to the Police Traffic and Road Safety Director to ensure
the vehicle is traced wherever it is,” Mr Fred Enanga, the police spokesperson said on Monday.
Prior to that, Sipapa knocked on the car of a passenger with his numberless Toyota V8 Land
cruiser in the company of armed security personnel and threatened to shoot him
A day after he allegedly knocked Ben, the socialite posted on his social media platform saying
“What has kept me successful for all of this time is because I usually see some things as
barking dogs. If you spend time beating them, you end up caught by time. Therefore, if you also
want to be successful in life, let the barking dogs bark.”
