Furious Uganda Police has come out to express its frustration over an advert from one of the leading milk products manufacturers, Jesa Farm Dairy. This is after a Jesa Jus advert shows traffic police is shown to be corrupt while promoting their Jesa Jus product. Police say this is a bad thing that tarnishes the image of police.
“The police leadership has strongly condemned the use of its traffic image, as content in a controversial commercial advert, of its juice, popularly known as JESA JUS. This is because it deceptively suggests that an officer during a traffic enforcement exercise stopped a certain driver for inspection. However, he was compromised by the driver of the truck who has kids. This panicky driver gave the officer a pack of Jesa Jus” Enanga stressed where the frustration is.
Furthermore, Fred Enanga said that this advert sends a wrong image of the Force to the public. It also sends a wrong image to the kids in the car and the general public. According to him, it signals that traffic officers and other law enforcement personnel can easily be bribed with such petty items. And also that people can bribe their way out of traffic violations.

Enanga continued to say that, this Jesa jus advert referred to the traffic police, as being corrupt and easily bribed by “JESA JUS”. And the driver is seen, allegedly bribing a traffic officer with a packet of the drink in front of the children. Adding that this is very wrong and unacceptable.
We are yet to hear from Jesa Farm Dairy where they will explain what there ad means or they will bow to pressure from police and change it.
