New Public Service Salary Structure After Scientists’ Enhancement 2022

The Public Service Ministry came out and announced how salaries of scientist public servants are going to delay this month of July. This comes as a result after there were salary enhancement and adjustments in the payroll system. But everyone has been asking themselves, after the enhancement, what is the new salary structure of public servants salaries 2022/2023 financial year?

In a statement, Ministry of Public Service apologized for the delay in payments and moved on to ask creditors of public servants to be patient on them. In the same document, the ministry suggests that public servants will receive their salaries on the 5th of August the latest.

In accordance Section B-a of the Uganda Public Service Standing Orders, salaries for Public Officers should be paid by 28 of every month. At the beginning of every Financial Year, this Ministry issues a salary structure as a framework that guides the Service on the amount of salary to be paid to each category of Public Officers in that Financial Year.” part of the statement reads.

Issuance of the salary structure for FY 2022/23 has been delayed. This has a spill-over effect on the timelines for processing and payment of salary for the month of July 2022. The salary structure has been completed and the processing of salary payroll has commenced. The estimated timeline for payment of salary for July is about 5th August 2022” the message went on.
