SaDancehall singer, Cinderella Sanyu aka Cindy has revealed that she was also once a nakyeyombekedde just like her eternal nemesis, Sheebah Karungi. I’m an interview with Mr. Henrie on Galaxy TV, the singer said that she grew up with a single mother.
This is because her father died when she was still very young. Apparently, her mother fended for them everything they needed despite being 7 children. They never went lacking and their mum also defended them in everything.
Therefore, she didn’t see the reason as to why she should get married. She thought that she could handle everything on her own just like her mother. On top of that, their mother never got into another relationship due to the love she had for their father.
The Boom Party singer also said that however much she wanted a man in her life she wanted so at her own conditions. She didn’t want a man that was going to change who she was.
Besides, she had never seen the real importance of a man until she got into a relationship with her current husband, Joel Okuyo. All the men in her previous relationships had never shown her the value of a man in a woman’s life.
At one point in my life, I also never wanted a man. I didn’t fancy being in a relationship with a man controlling me. This is because I grew up with a single mother. My dad died when I was still young. We were seven children and we grew up with only our mother. She fought, defended and provided for us.” she started expressing her ordeal.

Therefore, I didn’t see the value of a man. Not like I loathed relationships but I didn’t want a man to control me. It was only when I met my husband Mr Okuyo that I learnt the value of a man in a woman’s life. All my previous relationships had never justified this,” Cindy Sanyu said.
The singer dated Italian photographer Mario Brunette while she was still in the Blu 3 and continued with him even after she went solo. They sired a daughter together who is in her early teenage years now.
After that, she got into a relationship with Ken Muyisa whom she snatched from fellow singer Phina Masanyalaze. Cindy Sanyu also had a couple of relationships before settling down with local actor, Joel Okuyo.
