Born on 31 March 1965, Sam Bagenda aka Dr. Bbosa was raised in Mukono, in Uganda. His was born in a family with four siblings and his father was father was called Dr. Sam Bakiranze and mother Margaret Bakiranze who was a teacher.
Dr. Bbosa Education
Sam Bagenda aka Dr. Bbosa started his education from Auntie Clare and City Nursery schools. Later on, he attended Kitante Primary school (PLE) and completed his secondary school at Lubiri Secondary School (UCE), Kampala.
He then moved on Caltek Academy Makerere for his Advanced level (UACE) which he passed so well. He later on graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce with a bias in auditing from Makerere University More so, he completed a Public Accountants course (CPA) at Graffins College Kenya as well. Then he worked as an accountant for few years before entering drama.
Early Life and Acting
Bbosa, started to singing at Anglican Church Choir of St. Pauls church in Mulago during young age. However, after parish priest fired him from the church, he was joined by other members from the church choir and formed a gospel choir Sun Rose-85 in 1985.
In December 1986, he joined The Ebonies drama acting group, and his first major performance was in January 1987 at the grand opening of the current Bat Valley theatre which is the official home of The Ebonies.
He made his first acting role as a ‘priest’ in the stage play The Dollar. And since then, he has acted in many series and film like; Thats Life Mwattu, Escape From Uganda, The Boss, Land Friends, Daisy, The Dollar, Bibaawo, OMG, Kyeyo and many others.
Family
Dr. Bbosa is married and has up to 9 children. He was recently cited in a rumor of having contracted COVID-19, and that he was in ICU. A rumor he trashed later on. This shook Uganda and the entertainment industry.
