The Ghanian Actress Akaupem Poloo professionally known as Rosemond Brown is to spend the
coming three months in prison for sharing her and her seven year old son’s pictures on social media.
June 30, 2020, Rosemond (Akaupem Poloo) shared pictures on her Instagram celebrating he son’s 7th birthday. This did not go well in the yes of the “rightful thinking members” of society as they condemned
her actions. In response to this she said that she owns her page and it’s her body and so she can post whatever she wants.
Rosemond Brown was later dragged to court, where she was punished with 90 days in prison even when she pleaded guilty and asked to be forgiven. So many musician in Ghana were forced to come together to this cause.
They started a social media campaign for the judge’s kind attention. This also attracted Cardib’s attention who finds sharing nudes normal according to her society. While on social media, Cardib commented saying
“I seen a lot of Americans do photoshoots like that. Even though it is not my style I don’t think she
was going sexual more going through nature idea. I think jail is a bit harsh. Maybe social media probation or community service.” She defended Rosemond Brown.
