The Chinese based video app Tiktok bans the Crate Challenge videos from their platform due to dangerous activity. This comes after a massive outcry that the crates challenge poised to be more dangerous and gross.
A tiktok spokesperson says , “Tiktok prohibits content that promotes or glorifies dangerous acts
and we remove videos and redirect searches to our community guidelines to discourage such
content”
The Tiktok crate challenge has been making rounds on several social media platforms on timeliness and
for you page for the last weeks . One can’t go a day or two without seeing a video or two of
individuals doing this challenge either on Instagram, Twitter, Tiktok and YouTube.
This challenge involves walking on crates that are piled up in a pyramid form with the aim to
climb up and down.
Sadly not everyone that participated in it walks way through successfully, quite a number has
had failed attempts and failing causing a major injuries and harm. This pain has been regarded
more painful than falling off a ladder
However, with the rising number of videos being shared with failed attempts and failing , TikTok
isn’t pleased with it .if you tried to search the crate challenge on Tiktok today , then you probably
received the message , a “no results found” or “this phrase may be associated with behavior or
content that violates our guidelines” that’s because all videos have been wiped from the
platform.

This unthoughtful challenge has doctors all over the world worried since many hospitals
across the US already overwhelmed by Covid-19 patients and running short on space and staff, health departments are urging people to reconsider their choices before taking on the challenge.
