Father of the recently brutally murdered UCU student called Betungura Bewatte has called upon the public to help him. The help he needs is that, if there is any girl that is pregnant for his killed son, he is willing to meet them. This is after he died without leaving any child behind.
This was said at the burial of the late Betungura Bewatte who was recently murdered by cutting his throat. It happened at the final rallies for the guild president of Makerere University (MUK) where Betungura had joined the campaign rallies to support his Old Boy Justus, a guild president candidate.
His death led to the immediate cancelation of the voting process by the MUK administration to allow investigations take place smoothly. After Betungura Bewatte death, the blame game started as the FDC group which he supported started alleging that Bewatte was killed by the NUP group. Consequently, two NUP MPs were arrested as investigations started to take shape.
Betungura Bewatte was a Uganda Christian University Kampala campus student in LLB2 who was a serving member of the Law Society’s Sports Committee. Friends describe him as a free spirited person, brother and a friend of all. UCU Law community described him as a friendly soul, brilliant mind and a lawyer in the making.
