A Ugandan police officer was recorded at Kyambogo University today forcing a Muslim lady going to sit for her examinatons to remove her veil so as to enter the examination hall.
In a video making rounds on social media, the Muslim students refused and was hesitant with the officer but later obliged because she had to sit for her papers.
According to Shadick Wabwe’s tweet, he called on the Additional Inspector General of Police Asan Kasingye to intervene in this matter as soon as possible.
The AIGP also responded to his tweet saying, “That’s not good. We shall handle. I apologize on behalf of the @PoliceUg.”
