Michael Azira Biography
Ugandan born professional footballer Michael Azira was born on 22nd August 1987 in Kampala, Uganda. He stands at 5 ft 10 in and is estimated to weigh approximately 161 Ibs which is equivalent to 73kgs. He played for Uganda Cranes for more than 10 years.
The talented football is good at keeping his tracks as their is no background whatsoever about his family although close sources reveal that he is single and seems to have no children as per record.
Michael Azira has for long been on the football scene as he during 2008 to 2010 played for Lindsey
Wilson blue raiders and later in 2011, he switched up and joined Mobile Rams.
Aside from playing for multiple teams, Michael Azira acted as head coach for Daniel Island Soccer Academy U-16 and U-18 boys team in Charleston, SC as well as assistant coach for the UMS – Wright in Mobile, Alabama for 2 years which saw them to the state title in 2011.
He has featured in multiple teams since 2010. In between 2010 and 2011, he played for Mississippi Brilla setting a record of scoring five goals while at the team, immediately after, he joined the Charleston Battery team where he played from 2012 to 2013 scoring five goals during his time there.
In 2014, he moved to join Seattle Sounders F.C where he stayed till 2015. 2016, however took a new course as he joined the Colorado Rapids and stayed with the team till 2018. Later that year, he joined the Montreal Impact and over his one year stay with the team, he scored a goal.
Between 2019 and 2020, he was signed to Chicago Fire while he joined New Mexico United in 2021. Since 2016, he has served in multiple teams alongside Uganda Cranes that is until he handed in
his resignation through a letter to the FUFA president dated 14th August 2021.
