Born Kirunda Derrick aka Hustle Chief, he was born in Jinja on the 16th of October in 1990, went to school up to a Masters Degree level. Jinja is the home that raised him to a responsible man, the way he is, hardworking, focused. He grew up as an only child from his parents.

Hustle Chief went to Mwiri Primary School for his primary level, then London College of St Lawrence for his Ordinary level. He then proceeded to Uganda Christian University for his Bachelors degree in Business Administration. He later joined University of South Wales for his Masters of Business Administration.

Hustle Chief started music management in 2017 with a Jinja based dancehall artiste called Kim Nana and later fell out on indiscipline grounds. He managed Ziza Bafana and later took it on his own.
