Recently elected Lord Mayor of Kampala Erias Lukwago is sick again and has been rushed to neighboring Kenya’s capital Nairobi for further medical evaluation.
After Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago fainted during late Archbishop Lwanga’s requiem mass and was
rushed to Lubaga hospital, his health has since taken a downward curve. The ailing Lord Mayor over the past week has nursed complications ranging from dizziness to recurrent chest and abdominal pains even after he attained medical attention which prompted his transfer to Nairobi.
“Following a recurring dizziness, persistent abdominal discomfort and severe chest pain despite
attending several medical facilities in Kampala including Lubaga Hospital, Platinum Hospital,
Case Hospital, Norvik Hospital among others, the Lord Mayor was referred to Nairobi Hospital
for further management,” deputy Lord Mayor Doreen Nyanjura told the media.
However, this is not the first time the strong opposition stronghold Erias Lukwago is being flown out of the country as even last November, he underwent the same journey and under similar conditions. On his last visit the Lord Mayor was diagnosed with acute anaphylaxis, an allergic reaction to particular foods, insects stings and medicine.

Science categories this as a condition that attacks the immune system causing it to overreact to the allergen by releasing chemicals, subjecting one to shock causing a drop in blood pressure and blockage in breath.
Right now, we have to join hands and pray for the Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago along with National Unity Party president, Bobi Wine who took to his social media and posted saying;
“ We are praying for you my brother Erias Lukwago. May the healing hand of the almighty
touch you. Get well soon” Amen.
