As we are still celebrating the Grammy nomination, multiple Award winner Edirisa Musuuza famously known as Eddy Kenzo has been ordered by Uganda courts of law not to perform at any musical show in Uganda again. This came after the successful Kenzo festival that happened over the weekend which is also the roots for this order.
Eddy Kenzo was supposed to have his festival in 2020. After organizing and getting ready, the world was hit by the deadly disease Covid19 which led to the complete shut down of everything. Kenzo festival was then organized by Luba Events Limited and it suffered loses after Covid19 because they had invested a lot.
After Covid19, this year 2022, Eddy Kenzo decided to do the Eddie Kenzo festival again but this time, he denied Luba Events an opportunity to take it on. Luba was not not happy with everything saying he is the person who owns the Eddy Kenzo festival because they signed a contract together but he was surprised to see it going on without his consent. Luba revealed that Eddie Kenzo used some people in the government to let the festival happen after getting money from their and for that matter him as the owner of the Eddy Kenzo festival had nothing to do about it.
Luba went to courts of law and the issue was presented before Her Worship Nakitende Juliet. Kenzo was issued with a statement saying he is not supposed to perform anywhere in Uganda until he sorts himself with Luba. Luba Events Ltd had issued an injunction/Order to Eddie Kenzo stopping him from performing the Eddie Kenzo Music Festival which he went on to perform at Kololo Airstrip over the weekend.
Here is the statement
It should be remembered that Eddy Kenzo is one of the most trending Ugandan artistes internationally at the moment.
