You won’t believe what’s happening over at the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS). This group, known for its work promoting democracy and good stuff like that, is now facing a huge scandal. It all started when three people from Germany were caught working for KAS without the right paperwork.
It is being informed that, these people supposedly came into the country on tourist and student visas, which don’t allow you to work. But then in a twist of events, it was found out that they were actually getting paid.
And they weren’t even paying their taxes like everyone else. The authorities weren’t too happy about that and slapped them with fines and told them to pack their bags and leave. This did not only actually come in as a shocker, but also a set of an eye opener to those foreigners that are in Uganda that have not followed the right procedures of working from within.
Furthermore, rumor is making rounds that this wasn’t a one-time thing. People are saying that Konrad Adenauer Stiftung has been sneaking in people from Europe on the wrong visas for a while now. They would sign them up for quick courses at local schools and then put them to work in their offices in Kampala.
Ugandan staff members are spilling the tea, claiming they get paid way less than their European colleagues. They’re not thrilled about this, and it’s causing some serious tension within the organization. It seems like the foreign employees are living the high life with big salaries and awesome benefits, while the local workers are getting the short end of the stick.
Simon Peter Mundeyi, the spokesperson for the immigration, confirmed that they raided KAS. He said they do these checks all the time to make sure everyone is following the rules. Basically, they’re like the hall monitors of the working world, making sure no one is cutting corners.

It is further revealed that, Konrad Adenauer Stiftung is highly connected to a big political party in Germany, and they’re known for doing good work all over the world. But this whole immigration mess has put a big stain on their reputation. People are starting to wonder if they can really be trusted and if they’re as squeaky clean as they pretend to be.
