Social media was sent to a boil after a Nigerian singer Omah Lay staged a sold out show in Uganda. This came in after the government of Uganda banned shows and events as a way of fighting the quick spread of the Coronavirus. But after all the time Uganda artistes have been locked up, a Nigerian comes and does a show! Now blogger Isma Olaxess comes in to go bare knuckles with artistes.
In his attack, the blogger asked all Ugandan artistes to keep quiet and stop making noise to people since they are just lame, lazy and useless to themselves. In his attack, Isma Olaxess says that he forewarned them, he did two live broadcasts alerting the artistes about the show that took place in Munyonyo.
But no one paid heed to his say, more so, people like A Pass, Ashburg Katto a blogger too and Bebe Cool an artiste posted about the show to alert the musicians society to make noise and go against it, but all they did was to keep silent.
Now that the Nigerian artiste Omah Lay has done the show, they are coming out saying that the government is unfair to allow an ‘outsider’ have a show here without following the SOPs and he collects huge sums of money yet the native artistes are starving in houses without shows.
“I want to tell Ugandan artistes, you have low self esteem, you don’t believe in yourselves that is why you are undermined. We told you about the Omah show to take place in Munyonyo on Saturday, you sheep you kwpt quiet, even my fellow blogger Ashburg did the same and Bebe Cool, but all you could do is to sit on yourselves and eat miraa, do manicure and pedicure and drink alcohol” The blogger started his attack.
“And do not take this advantage to attack president Museveni, you are always drunk dare attack the president. Lie low like an envelop do not disturb our peace, we expected all artistes to post the Deport Omah Lay posters and stop him from performing, you refused. After all you do not know hot to perform, and you are not nominated in prestigious awards. The Nigerians have great videos too, and you don not have” Isma Olaxess continued his attack.
Meanwhile, Omah Lay is said to be in police custody with others including the show organizers and the venue owner over trying to spread COVID-19. Although, the police confirms this, it is widely believed that Omah is not in police custody after many artistes from Nigeria like Don Jerzy, Davido have been contacted and they say they are not aware of Omah’s detention.
