Singer turned politician and National Unity Platform Party NUP president Kyagulanyi Ssenatamu Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine car is facing the wrath of URA again. This comes after the revenue body of Uganda sends an official and final amount after ‘re-evaluation.’ And it now stands to close a billion shillings.

Uganda Revenue Authority has stated the procedures it followed to evaluate the car which was initially evaluated at 150 million shillings. In the letter to Bobi Wine’s lawyers, the motor vehicle Toyota Landcruiser V8 Reg. No. UBJ 667F is said to be an armored vehicle, yet this was not initially declared before the first evaluation.

“Following the re-examination of your client’s motor vehicle Landcruiser V8 Reg. No. UBJ 667F, It was found out that the unit was armored. The details of the ballistic protection were comfirmed as 90mm for the window upper plate glass and 6mm for the bottom hull” Uganda Revenue Authority stated in a letter about Bobi Wine car.

URA through it’s lawyers Wameli & Company Advocates & Solicitors, URA says the details that were given out at first under reference UGCWH C 54 of 12th February did bare false hoods of clearing it as a normal car. This was followed by the final re-evaluation amount that hoovered to a whooping 937 million shillings.
