UCC and MoH Okay ‘Tumbiza Sound’ Song, Ask Eezzy for Remix
Following Today’s meeting between singer Eezzy of the ‘Tumbiza Sound’ song and UCC, the two parties
have reached an amicable agreement with the song set to have the normal airplay and remix redone in two weeks. This has acted as a sigh of relief to Tumbiza Sound lovers and fans of Eezzy.
The Ministry of Health submitted their complaint to Uganda Communications Commission (UCC), a couple of weeks ago to have the song regulated or banned asserting that it contradicts with the guidelines of preventing COVID-19.
However, in today’s meeting, the two parties agreed that the singer goes to studio and reproduces the song with a message encouraging people to take precautions against COVID-19. The condition to have the song play is that remix must be released within a fortnight with all the bills footed by Ministry of Health.
Further, the song is to have a message seeking people to observe standard operating procedures (SOPs), both the visuals and the audio projects to be instantly released with the cost incurred by Ministry of Health.
