Murerwa Shamim aka Omega 256 a Ugandan songwriter, a performer, a recording artiste and one of the biggest female artistes from Western Uganda is dropping her new hit captioned “This Year” her first banger 2023. Omega 256 rose to popularity after her hit single ‘Keeza’ which reached to the top 20 songs on radio in the country’s city capital Kampala.
The born of Mbarara Kakoba and a proud Munyankole started singing in 2018 where she produced her first record ‘Weekend’ which was later released in January 2019 with the video in the same year. She followed ‘Weekend‘ with her hit single ‘Chamuka’ and currently, she is known as the biggest female artiste in the Western Uganda and an urban artiste competeting among several male artistes that have taken over control of the Western regions in the Ugandan music industry such as Ray G, T Pau among others.
With that, she has released different hits such as Ndera, Keeza, Chamuka, Am coming, Deep in Love, Ninterwa, Iwe, Weekend, Sober, Muder case and more not leaving out her brand new song ” This Year”. She is signed under Diagram Evolution and it’s Nessim Pan on the beats of her new son “This Year”.
