Singer turned Jose Chameleone Joseph Mayanja woke up on a dark side of his day when he was dumped by the Kyagulanyi Sentamu led, National Unity Platform (NUP) party for its flag bearer position in the 2021 Kampala Mayor elections because of reasons that the electoral commission of NUP first kept to themselves and later we revealed through our snoops.
It should be noted that he party flag was instead given to the current Kawempe North Member of Parliament Latif Ssebagala during vetting that took place last week.
More so, fresh information getting to our news desk indicate that everything that led to Chameleone’s woes was rotating on his academic documents which had many loopholes in them.

It emerges that NUP’s electoral commission found that Jose Chameleone’s Advanced level documents were not clear and to make matters worse, he could not produce his Ordinary level qualifications.
This caused suspicion and the commission opted to throw him off the radar. The source revealed that their hands were ‘tied’ after failing to know the truth.
“We raised question marks over his A-level papers. And when we talked about O-level, he also failed to show the documents. So our hands were tied,” a source in NUP chirped.
This source adds that Jose Chameleone did not have a national identity card which is the major requirement to be eligible to stand for any political position in NUP or Uganda at large or vote.
That literally meant that even Chameleone alone, can not vote for himself!
