Shock as a Primary 7 Girl Gives Birth While in PLE Exams

Mixed emotions have covered teachers and pupils of Sigirira Primary School in Kikyenkye Subcounty, Ibanda district today. This came in as a result of a Primary Seven (7) candidate (girl) giving birth to a bouncing baby boy from the school compound just a few minutes to her first PLE exam paper.
The great news about this whole thing is that, she was later on allowed to continue and sit for her PLE exam after giving birth as she could be given break ins to have time for the baby. More so, it is being learnt by this website that, this young mother has been a bright pupil, a reason she was given a go ahead.
“Yes, we are happy she had a safe delivery and she continued with her dream of attaining education by sitting for the exams” one of the pupil’s teacher stated. On the same note, it should be remembered that all candidates classes were allowed to continue with their studies after the last year’s COVID-19 lockdown.
More so, the COVID-19 lockdown lead to more harm than good, as many reports indicate that many young girls caught pregnancies while at home idle. These include incest pregnancies too.
