Biography
31-year-old Sheila Nduhukire was born on the 23rd of April 1990 to current Bishop of North
Ankole Diocese Rt. Rev Stephen Namanya and retired teacher Lydia Namanya. In her a family of
seven, she so happens to be a second born.
Education Background
For Primary school, Sheila Nduhukire attended Kabatereine Memorial School in Mbarara district
from which she graduated after completing her Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE).
After which, she attended Uganda Martyrs Namugongo S.S for her Ordinary Level and
Bweranyangi Girls for her Advanced level from which she graduated attaining a certificate upon
completion of high school.
Due to her outstanding performance, Sheila Nduhukire joined Mbarara University of Science
and Technology where she studied and attained a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration
on government sponsorship.
Also, while at Mbarara University of Science and Technology, Nduhukire was elected as Chief
Fresher in her first year and in her second year, ran for Guild Presidency which she won making
her the university’s first ever female Guild President.
In 2013, she also underwent a nine-month media training at the Nation Media Lab in Nairobi
which gave her skills in print and broadcast journalism.
Later on, Sheila Nduhukire also pursued a Master’s Degree in International Public Relations and
Global Communication at UK based Cardiff University on the Chavening Scholarship Program.
Career
After her nine-month training in Nairobi, her trainers recommended her to the Uganda Nation
Media Offices with a specific word expressing her expert skills in regards to Television
journalism.
Hence NTV forwarded her to the then head of the news department Maurice Mugisha for a
broadcast test which she excelled at and immediately appeared on the airwaves on 17th March
2014 as a news reporter.
Her appearance as a news reporter did not last for long though because after a period of seven
months, she was promoted from the position of reporter to the position of a news anchor still
at NTV Uganda.
While at NTV, she exhibited exceptional news reporting skills as she so happens to be the only
journalist that has interviewed the first lady as well as the first son although they are known for
always avoiding media.
During the 2016 general elections, Sheila Nduhukire once again performed her magic with her
unique reporting skills. And as of 2018, she was transfered to NTV Uganda’s sister station NTV
Uganda.

Once she left for the UK to pursue a Master’s Degree, she part timed as a waitress as a means
of earnings extra money for her personal needs and up keep. Upon returning to Uganda, Kin
Kariisa was quick to lure her to NBS TV as a news anchor in November 2019.
Most recently, Sheila Nduhukire attained the position of Principal Public Relations Officer for
the National Medical Stores, Entebbe. A position she took on from Hon. Dan Atwijukire
Kimosho that recently joined active politics.
