Hannington Bugingo who also doubles as the managing director of Fan factory Uganda and also the Funding president of the Uganda Comedians Association initiated his petition to honor Denis Onyango through his Facebook page.
Today the Speaker of Parliament Rt, Hon: Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga has positively responded to Bugingo and all other social media influencers asking for the motion of recognition for Denis Onyango’s great deeds.
“ I agree with the proposal for a motion of recognition for Denis Onyango, I shall instruct the parliamentary sports team to Act. Am a great fan of Denis @masindeonyango and the cranes @ugandacranes.” She responded
This started on facebook as Bugingo requested Rt:Hon: Speaker Rebecca Alitwala Kagada for a special parliamentary session to Honour Denis Onyango for the 16years of service he has rendered our great nation. He reminded her of how Onyango is the first and only Ugandan to ever be named the African footballer of the year. He added that MR. safe Hands is the greatest footballer Uganda has ever produced at the continental stage who also worn a number of trophies.

On 18th April, Patrick Salvado, tagged Bugingo’s post on Twitter requesting people to retweet until the Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga sees it. In the tweet, he also showed how he supported the point that Denis Onyango deserves a National celebration for the work he has done for Uganda cranes.
