Today is the first of the two days that are slated for presidential aspirants to go get nominated by the Electoral Commission of Uganda (EC). And as usual, the bull in the kraal , incumbent NRM Chairman, president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is to get nominated first.
According to the exclusive news we have for you, His Excellence Yoweri Museveni, who is also the National Chairman. Of the ruling party National Resistance Movement (NRM) and it’s flag bearer, will be nominated to contest for the 2021 elections at Kyambogo grounds today the 2nd of November 2020 to run for another 5 years in office.

It should further be noted that, the NRM Secretary General Justine Kasule Lumumba will be the one to officially present the party’s candidate to the Uganda Electoral Commission at exactly 10am. Both the Secretary General and the President are expected to travel in a yellow bus which is an official symbol for NRM.
More so, after nomination, the Chairman of the ruling Party will launch the NRM manifesto for 2021-2026, which is anchored on the theme “Securing Your Future” at Speke Resort Munyonyo.
On the same note, this is the time where the president will officially congratulate his NRM committee for the great work done throughout this term in office.

It is further known that, the manifesto is the final work of a 14 member committee that was chaired by the Justice and Constitutional Affairs Minister Prof. Ephraim Kamuntu and deputized by the NRM deputy Secretary General, Richard Todwong.
In addition, it should be remembered that other presidential aspirants will be nominated today alongside Museveni, they include Mugisha Muntu, the flag bearer ANT party, with a theme “Country before self”. Then we shall see Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert of NUP party nominated later on tomorrow 3rd at the same Kyambogo grounds.
