The retired Archbishop of the Church of Uganda (COU), Stanley Ntagali has for the first time come out to publicly done an apology for involving in ‘unholy’ acts with a married woman which led to his suspension from his role in Church. He says sorry, and asks to be forgiven as he needs to enter into heaven.
Ntagali made the confession and apology, on the 22nd of April 2021vduring the Church of Uganda 60th anniversary of self-governance at St Paul’s Cathedral Namirembe. He revealed that he was tempted by the devil into committing the adultery sin just like any other human.
He then after, asked for forgiveness from the Church and Uganda at large and the Christians fraternity.
“On Christmas Eve 1974, as a young man I gave my life to the Lord Jesus Christ, and I still love the Lord because he has loved me and I have loved to serve him over the years. Sadly I fell in to Adultery and I confessed to the Lord to forgive me and I want the Church to forgive me” Ntagali asserted.
The Archbishop also asked Rev Christopher and his wife to forgive him adding that he wants to remain closer to Jesus. Asserting that his eyes are glued on going to heaven, not to perish in hell.
“My brother Rev Christopher, Bishops, all our partners, brothers and sister in the vineyard of the Lord, the entire church of Uganda and all our partners all over the world and the family Rev Christopher his wife Judith, the two families please forgive me” Stanley Ntagali apologized painfully.
The rest was an emotional moment as the followers seen drying their eyes as the man of God made the most painful revelation on earth.
