Veteran singer Evelyn Lagu is worried about the new health guidelines on travel to India as they
will delay her medical treatment. This comes after the Ministry of Health puts up new guidelines.
Minister of Health, Jane Ruth Aceng temporarily instructed for a ban on travels to and from India. This was facilitated by the new wave of COVID-19 that hit the population claiming more lives.
This has worried Evelyn Lagu since she was meant to have flown to India for a kidney transplant following a series of visits to Ugandan hospital with medical challenges relating to her kidneys.
Due to this, the doctors recommended a kidney transplant that was meant to have been conducted in
India since it has better medical facilities and services that those that are provided here.
However, the dream to travel in a quest to save her life was shattered by the news delivered by
the Health Minister. Evelyn Lagu treatment was initially delayed by that lockdown which has lived now
that Indian is affected.
