Kiyaga Hillary, popularly known as Dr. Hilderman who was recently elected into power as a Member of Parliament has promised that his lead priority shall be musicians in the next five years.
Immediately after swearing-in, the newly elected member of parliament vowed that in his next term, his focus would be on musicians whom he believes have been greatly marginalized by the previous regimes.
In this regard, he said he would serve people with greatness and ensure that their every need is taken care of to the very dot and also promised the unlike other politicians, he’ll be a man of his word.
Despite the fact that he was chosen by the people of Mawokota, Dr. Hilderman said he would also prioritize the musicians since that his field of expertise and also the musicians that have no one to stand for them.
“I was sent by the people of Mawokota but I will also represent the musicians. I understand the sector and I know the problems we facing as an industry,” said the newly elected musician. Previously, several musicians had been elected into parliament including Kyadondo East legislator Robert Kyagulanyi who later turned to the presidential race but he never prioritized musicians.

This makes Dr. Hilderman the first of his kind. Probably other musician politicians in the current parliament such as Geoffrey Lutaya, Racheal Magoola and artists manager Solo Kayemba shall join him in his cause.
