MTN Uganda renewed their partnership with Uganda Premier League side Onduparaka Football Club.
During the press conference at Hotel Africana, the club also unveiled a new jersey for the on-going 2020-21 Uganda Premier League season.
The green color has been retained with a light shade of a caterpillar on the front and the sleeves have a shade of traditional African design.
West Nile soccer giants, Onduparaka FC, have renewed their partnership with MTN Uganda once again and the fresh details in the deal have not yet been revealed, but Onduparaka and MTN have bonded for the next 4 years.
“We are honored that at such a time as this when the footballing sector has been affected MTN has chosen to still continue the partnership with Onduparaka Football Club,” an official statement from the football club reads in part.
“We have since moved from Sponsorship to Partnership because there’s lots more that is mutually beneficial for us as Onduparaka Football Club and for MTN Uganda.
We are happy that the partnership comes at a time when we are getting back to the footballing season to complete the remaining rounds and we are looking forward to using this partnership to motivate our performance even on the pitch, and to also give MTN a value for the generosity they’ve extended towards Onduparaka FC,” the club official statement further reads.
Onduparaka also unveiled to their fans and other stakeholders the new season’s jersey which is inspired by the club’s season theme; ‘Embracing Our Heritage,’ aimed at reflecting the Club’s 10-year journey in the top flight and looking at what has made them who they are over time.
