In the just-concluded general parliamentary and presidential elections, several ministers and MPs lost their positions and seats to new political players on the scene. However, some have spoken out.The Mawokota North seat that was previously occupied by the Minister for Trade Hon Amelia Kyambadde has been taken over by the National Unity Platform Kiyaga Hillary who was once the minister’s close ally.
This new development however will see Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu and his party NUP (National Unity Platform) influence several entertainers to embrace elective politics.
However, Amelia Kyambadde has come out and revealed why she was trounced by her former associate and friend asserting that they had initially neglected youths together with political views.
“The reason we lost is clear, had neglected the youths, their involvement in political decisions and as well their well-being, each and every time I was always on duty running government programs and new appointments.” Amelia Kyambadde disclosed in an exclusive interview.
It should however be noted that before the political foes, the two Hilderman and Minister Kyambade were close friends were Amelia paid Hilderman generously to compose for her a campaign song in 2010.
