King of Buganda, Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II is set to address his subjects later this month on the 29th of May 2021. Basing on a prominent journalists’ twitter handle, the Kabaka thinks it is befitting for him to talk to his beloved audience hence he shall be addressing them at the end of this month.
His tweet read;
“Essanyu! Ssabasajja Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II asiimye okwogerako eri Obuganda nga
29 omwezi guno.” Also, this can be loosely translated as “Joy! The King of Buganda Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II had decided to address his subjects on the 29th of this month,” other details are set to follow
this announcement.
Records indicate that the Kabaka’s last appearance was on the day when he got vaccinated along side his queen. The royal couple was vaccinated at their Kireka based palace. However, prior to this, the Kabaka was seen on his birthday and his appearance made many Ugandans worried.
He appeared to be having difficulty in breathing yet on many previous occasions he seemed to be fine. More to this, an unsourced rumor has been spreading claiming the king’s life has come to an
end.
