Uganda’s most decorated athlete of all time Joshua Cheptegei is over the moon after landing a juicy gig as Uganda’s next tourism ambassador.
The 10000mtres gold medalist has been appointed by the Uganda tourism board as the new ambassador of Uganda tourism after several celebrated acts failed to deliver.
The Uganda tourism board has over time reshuffled and canceled appointments of several public figures who have been given the same role to execute the duties of tourism in the country and promote the pearl of Africa.
After winning a couple of gold medals on the international level and having a bigger influence across the world and continent, Cheptegei has scooped himself the lucrative gig as he smiles to the bank where he will be championing the activities of Uganda’s tourism.
However, the period for his contract and amount is not specified and disclosed as much as insiders assert that it’s a multimillion deal that will run for a couple of years ahead.
It should however be noted that several socialites and celebrities have been appointed as ambassadors in the recent past years but failed to live up to the required standards as well as meeting the core objectives as per the appointment.
