Newly elected Busiro North MP, Paul Nsubuga sweats plasma as he is at the verge of losing his newly acquired seat as a Member of Parliament.
The allegations were filled by Edgar Lubadde who lost to Paul Nsubuga but has chosen to challenge him in court over his victory as he claims Nsubuga’s documents that he presented to the Electoral Commission do not truly belong to him but rather to someone else.
He further claims that Paul Nsubuga’s actual name is Peter Mukalazi with which he registered for his Primary Leaving Examination but only changed the name so that he could be part of a scholarship scheme for children whose parents are in the army hence taking on the Peter Mukalazi name which belonged to his “father.”
Paul Nsubuga does not refute the allegations that he changed his name and initially went by Peter Nsubuga but he also presented an affidavit showing his change in name and identifies his parents as the late Mathias Kibuuka and Agnes Nabawanuka.
According to Agnes, she once had an affair with Kibuuka’s cousin brother Mbabali but only learnt about her pregnancy for him after getting married to Kibuuka so as to protect the family image.

However, she later disclosed the truth to her son after his Primary Seven and this resulted into his change of name but otherwise, Paul Nsubuga and Peter Mukalazi are one person at different stages of his life.
