Joshua Kiprui Cheptegei a Ugandan long-distance runner says he feels so much honored to be nominated for the laureus world sports awards 2021. The 2021 Laureus World Sports Awards will be a ‘virtual’ event. In addition, in place of the annual gala ceremony in order to respect continued social distancing measures.

In 2020, Joshua Cheptegei became the 10th man in history to hold the 5000m and 10,000m world record concurrently. He grabbed himself a silver medal at the world championship in London.

Filled with excitement Cheptegei took it on his Twitter handle showing how he is honored to be nominated beside the best world’s greatest people in sports.

Lewis Hamilton is a British Race-Car driver and also the most successful formula one (F1) Grand Prix Racing driver. Lebron Raymone James is an American Professional basketball player and also one of the greatest NBA players in history.
