Hip Hop general, the Father of Uganda’s urban rap music GNL Zamba is hitting back again and so hard this time. This comes in after G.N.L Zamba release of the most anticipated for Album called The Spear, which is so far rated to be one of the best in Uganda’s Hip Hop music history.
The Spear Album by G.N.L Zamba comes in a time where music is currently frustrated by the C0ronavirus pandemic. But still, artistes have been releasing music and albums, then EPs, and now the lion has roared with the mega album.
This follows his recent Uganda Yaffe remix which he featured on almost all all rappers that include the young rapper Fresh kid. The Spear follows Geosteady’s Love Letters Album in the line of album releases in the music industry of Uganda.
The Album by G.N.L Zamba, is a complete revolutionary music that portrays the Pan Africanism in GNL himself. He says that he must use music as a spear to overcome political quagmire in Uganda and Africa at large. And he dedicates it to Sankara, Lumumba, Martin Luther, Mandela, Mansa Musa and his future Kids.
More so, many this album comes in to find his recent Nsimbi Album which sold him beyond boarders. He did it with his Nsimbi duo half, Mariam Tamar. The Spear Album has songs like, Africa, Black Ceaser, Blasck Yellow Red Blue, No Boarders, Energy.
Also still, Sweet Uganda, The Spear, Wake The Fck Up, Who Got The Power, Zamba the Great, Zim Zim Bombo. All make up 11 songs on the album. It was produced by, Fly Tucker of L’Atelier Studios Los Angeles and mastered by Dave Cooley.
The same project was mixed and engineered by Fly Tucker and Tony Austin. Vocals by GNL Zamba, Black Shakespeare and Casandra. Percussion was done by Pete Korpela. Executive producers are Earnest Tulye Nsimbi Lupiazitta and Fly Tucker.
