The former vice president of Uganda Prof Gilbert Balibasekka Bukenya aka Mr Mahogany has for the time lifted the lid on allegations of sexually assaulting musician, Sheebah Karungi. Sheebah Karungi a while ago through social media a couple of months ago revealed how she was sexually assaulted by a top government official.
The furious queen karma said that she was taking a nap in her car when the unfortunate incident happened. Although she didn’t mention names, social media users were quick to draw assumptions. They claimed that either the first son Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba, senior journalist Andrew Mwenda or ex VP Gilbert Bukenya had assaulted the singer. Both Muhoozi and Mwenda came out publicly and denied the allegations.
Muhoozi even said that he has instituted a team to investigate these claims. However, the perpetrator is yet to be brought to book. While appearing in a local TV interview, Bukenya who netizens later settled for as the culprit said that this was just a small issue. It didn’t need attention at all but idle Ugandans gave it relevance. But eventually he’s glad that the issue went to the gutter where it belonged and shouldn’t have been discussed in the first place.
“Ugandans are so idle and lack what to do. That was such a minor issue that didn’t even require attention. They however gave it relevance and blew it out of proportion. But luckily it cooled down and went no where,” said Bukenya.
The public has now been left speculating again whether Bukenya meant that he was the one and to him fingering Sheebah while in her sleep was no big deal. The retired politician is known sumbie hunter especially when it comes to musicians. He’s previously been linked to the likes of Sheilah, Nvanungi, Iryn Namubiru, Kapa Cat and Karole Kasita
