Head of News at NTV Uganda Faridah Nakazibwe promises to inform police if whoever is breaching the Covid-19 guidelines.
The talented anchor has promised to inform the police of those endangering not only their lives but also those of people around them especially people going to bars that were closed by President Museveni a week ago.
This guildline is meant to stay in place for the next 42 days with effect from June 7th and whoever is found on the wrong side of the law shall there and then be required to face the impacts of the law.
In effect to the above, Faridah Nakazibwe has promised to be the polices’ eyes and ears in their absence as she will inform them of anyone that chooses to break the law instead of acting like a law abiding citizen and staying home.
After the president made the announcement, people from areas of Kamokya and Ntinda have been victims of the police late-night raids and indeed, many have been taken into custody for violating the guidelines.
In a tweet, the NTV based news anchor passed a stun warning that if she as much sense any form of drinking and partying in a bar on her way home, she would right away notify the police of what is happening.
She went on to say that she would ensure she stays behind to see to it that she supervises the raid and arrests if the people who are not willing to cooperate for the betterment of our country.
“Starting tomorrow, if I pass by your bar on my way home and there are signs it’s open to drunkards, I will not stop at alerting the police, I will personally supervise the raid,” read the tweet by Faridah Nakazibwe.

Since the 42-day lockdown was announced, people have gone ahead to violate the guidelines which include going to bars, cross-district border movements among others. However, as the numbers of infected people surge, so do the violations of the government set procedures.
