Moses Nakintije Ssekibogo allies Mowzey Radio was one of Uganda’s most celebrated Vocalist, he was part of a duo group Goodlyfe Crew together with Douglas Sseguya allies Weasel Manizo and together they made many platinum hit songs.
Sadly on February first 2018 Radio lost his life, he was believed to in a club fight and died at the age of 33 years. Ever since then family and friends gather on this day to pray, party and pay tribute to his legacy but unfortunately it wasn’t done in 2021 due to covid19 so we 2022 celebrate him.
Here are some facts you may have not known about Mowzey Radio. Radio was a very heavy drinker, who clubbed every night and had a party everyday at his home, he lived the life of a party but this didn’t stop him from making music every minute and period he got, wrote most hits after a club night.
Ssekibogo was a very persistent and influential person who managed to led the Goodlyfe camp in peace, most of his friends say he was very short tempered, hated being undermined and hated listening to unpleasant music.
Moses Ssekibogo, died just hours after Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni donated $8,300 (£5,800) towards his medical bills. This money was sent before he was announced dead, the family said part of this money was used for the burial.
By the time Radio died he possessed about five very expensive cars, these included a Jaguar, Jeep, Noah, Benz ML, and a Pajero short. But after his death these cars were nowhere to be seen, but after a lot of contradictions his elder brother Frank Ssekibogo managed to retrieve only one of these lost cars.
In 2018 on his funeral BBC News company regarded Radio as the most famous East African musician, he had a lot of fans outside east Africa and most of them where super stars like “Psquare crew” who loved his music, Wizkid and many more others.
