Elizabeth Bagaya that was during the 2019 – 2020 Miss Uganda pageant crowned first runner up has been announced as the interim Miss Uganda 2020 – 2021.
This announcement was made after Oliver Nakakande the current Miss Uganda became scarce due to the Studies she is pursuing and this stood in the way of official duty, informed Kezzi Entertainment, Miss World exclusive licence holders.
Hence fourth, Elizabeth Bagaya is expected to carry out the duties expected of a Miss Uganda since she has stepped into the shoes of ever busy Miss Oliver Nakakande.
Due to these changes, Mariam Nyamatte will step up as the first runner up while Petronella Acen automatically assumes the position of second runner up as well as Miss Uganda Northern region.

It should be noted that the Miss Uganda pageant that was meant to be held last year was hindered due to the covid-19 pandemic hence the current changes shall stay in place till later this year when the annual pageant shall be held.
