His excellency the president of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and Mama Janet Kataha Museveni have shown how grateful they are for the services of Denis Onyango.
The South African-based footballer was forced to travel to Uganda at the invitation from the Federation of Uganda Football to attend his appreciation event which took place at the statehouse in Entebbe.
A good number of people witnessed Onyango’s excitement as he received a sports car for his glorious career with the national team. Among them, that honored the event we have the FUFA president Hon. Eng. Moses Magogo, the third Vice President Hon: Florence Nakiwala Kiyinji, minister of state for sports, and many others.
This was confirmed by the FUFA through its Twitter handle.
“Denis was accompanied by his belongings and was rewarded with a brand new sports Pajero. His Excellency President of the Republic of Uganda @KagutaMuseveni and the Minister of Education and sports @janetmuseveni rewarded former @ugandacranes captain @musindeonyango at State House Entebbe with a sports car for his glorious career with a National team and club football” FUFA tweeted.

It should be remembered that in his years of serving, he managed to lead the national team to the maiden African Cup of Nations. He also guided the team of CAF Champions League title in 2016 before making an appearance in the FUFA clubs World Cup.
He was the first and only Ugandan to be named the African footballer of the year, as though the plate is not full, Onyango was also ranked among the best 10 footballers in the world according to the international federation of football History and Statics
