Following the presidential directives on the burn of gathering due to easy the fight of COVID_19, musicians only hope is now left in online concerts.
On Sunday, Robert Kyaguranyi aka Bobi Wine who is Both a musician and a politician held a freedom online concert. The concert was successful because it has over two thousand views in just two hours.
Bobi wine was seen with an Afro comb in his hair which most people did not give much attention to. Most people thought that maybe its a style. But times Uganda is here to inform you that it was not a style but the comb symbolized his NO on the oppression that is going on in the country.
It is clear the Bobi wine being a politician, he did not use the Afro Comb just for fashion.
He neither did he use the combo for adornment but also as a political emblem and a signature of a collective identity. It is recognized as a way of saying no to oppression.
His show was more of music and conversion show. In addition because before and after every song, Bobi Wine made it a point to talk about the injustices in the country. He talked about the heroes and all those that betrayed him (Ashburg NATO and Full figure). In addition, not to forget he also encouraged the youth to keep working hard and believe that everything will get back to normal.
