Birungi Charities Hits 1000 Beneficiaries of It’s PadsThruCovid Campaign

The Birungi Charities, a charity foundation in Central Uganda headed by Esther Birungi has marked a record 1000 beneficiaries from it’s PadsThruCovid campaign. This milestone was hit when, the organizers visited areas of Masaka and Mpigi purposely to donate reusable sanitary pads.
On this very note, two schools were visited that are; Buyaga Primary school in Masaka, and Kaleke Kasome Foundation school in Mpigi district. In this, over 300 reusable sanitary pads were given out to over 100 girls. This left the innocent young girls so happy and thanking for the merciful reachout.
The team from Birungi Charities did not only give out sanitary pads, but also pupils were talked to, and encouraged to keep in school to avoid uncertainties like early pregencies and young marriages. CEO Esther Birungi thanked everyone that extended a donation towards this event.
It should be noted that, this campaign of PadsThruCovid by Birungi Charities, was started last year 2020 by Esther, after the COVID-19 lockdown was initiated in Uganda. From that day up to now, 1000 girls have been touched. And many people have benefited from the initiative which entirely depends on people’s donations.
