Halima Namakula is a Ugandan Musician, actress, entrepreneur and humanitarian. She in 2009
represented Uganda in the Mrs. World Beauty Pageant. She has come out to assert how she has known singer Akon to a scale of being ‘friends’
While appearing on SparkTV, the “Kibuga” hit maker claimed that her and Akon have been friends for along time. She said that the two have been doing business together and also shared how her daughter Racheal Kay has grown up with the Akons.
In addition to the above she said that she knows that so many musicians wish to meet Akon but to her Akon is like family. And she knows that he is here for business. Halima Namakula affirms that she trusts Akon when he is up for something.

“Minus COVID you know that I always travelled to America every year. Akon and I have been
friends for some good time. She has grown up with my Daughter and we are now like family to

Some musicians like Eddy Kenzo, Bebe Cool and many others have gotten a chance to meet Akon while others like Ykee Benda wish to meet him. Ykee said he is the reason he is doing this whole music thing.
